Singapore's Art culture is small but prominent in the area of Rochor. Its Rich history has been made physical through the arts, from paintings you see as you walk down the shophouses lanes to the exterior and facades you see. It is never a bore to walk around the area. Hence why I chose to create a school to contribute to the arts.
What makes my school different is that it was specifically for both the arts and fashion. The collaboration between the two arts would offer a vast array of projects never seen before. It would also teach the students about working together as a team in their creative disciplines. It also ensures sustainability as its principle in which zero waste is its priority.
Studios and amenities are provided for the students and the staff with ample space for collaboration and events. Louvers ensure that the building is naturally shaded from the harsh sun of Singapore and spaces are gradually spaced to ensure the wind is able to enter the courtyard in the center. The courtyards are the places where students will be gathering most of the time to collaborate with one another.
