Sketches done on paper

Super random idea I had for a series of pins using the clay and paints I had left over from the last project. I actually did this for fun. I knew it was more doable than my other projects.

Sketches turned into illustrations using illustrator

I wanted to dip my toes back into illustrator as I remembered really enjoying making illustrations for one of my school projects. These were a fun way to get myself accustomed to the program again.

'cookie cutter' created out of a recycled chrysanthemum tea can

Instead of creating the shapes individually, I thought of this cookie-cutter idea to make the process a lot faster and more efficient. The internet really teaches you incredible things and it only cost me $1.20

The result

What did I do with these? gave them to my family to test them out. They thought it was cute but soon they realized that the pin backing rips away from the clay easily. That is when I learned that I should have pasted the backings before painting. Easy fix tho, just glue the ripped paint onto the clay. I did not end up selling them but it was fun to make.
