The site is located within shophouses of various types. Retail, cafes, studios, offices. It is located on a fairly busy street where many people walk by to run their errands around the area.
The decision to create a shelter for an artist came about due to the lack of such artistic identity in the area. It is a blank canvas for Jane to take advantage of. The location where her shelter will be placed is based on where gets the most shade, privacy, and offers the most view from the street, and is also far away enough to mute the noises of the cars passing by.

Process models
Each model has slight changes based on the functionality of spaces and language-wise. Ensuring overhangs allow for ventilation and shade from sunlight. The Openings are strategically placed for ventilation and privacy for the client. the overhangs also allow Jane to display her arts and for her to directly sell her works from her own home to people passing by.
